Our Story

A bridge between two worlds — the ancient terraces of Yemen and the heart of Colorado.

Haraz Mountain terraces, Yemen

The Origin

Where Coffee
Was Born

Long before espresso bars dotted the streets of Milan, before coffee houses spread through Istanbul and Cairo, the mountains of Yemen were already alive with the ritual of qahwah. High in the terraced villages of Haraz — where stone walls have held soil in place for a thousand years — Yemeni farmers have tended coffee plants for half a millennium.

The beans grown at these elevations absorb the mist, the mineral-rich soil, and the cool mountain air in a way that simply cannot be replicated anywhere else on earth. Naturally processed — dried whole in the mountain sun — they develop a complexity that modern specialty roasters are only beginning to understand.

This is the coffee that built trade routes and launched coffee culture across the world. It's only right to bring it home.

"Coffee was born in Yemen. We are simply bringing it home."
— Dallah Coffee

The Founder

A Vision
from Colorado

Dallah Coffee was founded by Nagi Aldalali — a Yemeni-American entrepreneur who grew up watching his family prepare qahwah the traditional way: slow-brewed in brass, spiced with cardamom, poured from a dallah pot with patient hands.

After years in Colorado's retail industry, Nagi saw a gap: a community hungry for authentic flavors, for warmth that went beyond a transaction. He set out to build a coffee experience that honored his Yemeni roots while welcoming everyone to the table.

The name Dallah — the traditional Yemeni brass coffee pot — was chosen deliberately. It is the vessel that holds the ritual. And every cup we pour carries that intention forward.

Authenticity

We source directly from Yemeni farmers in the Haraz and Bura mountains. No intermediaries. No compromises. Every bean tells a story we're proud to share.

Ritual

Coffee here is not a transaction. It is a ceremony. Every cup follows the same unhurried steps that Yemeni families have practiced for 500 years. Slow, intentional, and warm.

Community

Dallah is a space for everyone — Yemeni families, Colorado neighbors, and curious first-timers. We built this for connection, and we measure success by the conversations our coffee starts.

The Name

The Dallah

The dallah is the long-beaked brass coffee pot found in every Yemeni home. It is the first thing set on the fire when guests arrive. It is the vessel of hospitality, of patience, of generosity.

Naming this company after the dallah was not incidental. It is a declaration: we are building something that honors the tradition it came from. We brew slowly. We pour deliberately. We serve with the same quiet pride that Yemeni families have shown for centuries.

When you hold a cup of Dallah Coffee, you are holding half a millennium of human cultivation, trade, and ritual. We hope you feel it.
